Right Skin Tone, Wrong Undertone. I just tried MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 recently (I wanted to review the formula), and it's so, so off — but then MAC Studio Waterweight's NC25 is night and day from Studio Fix Fluid NC25, too, so that's you know, frustrating! September 6, 2016 at 6:38 pm 9/6/16. In terms of skin tone, I'm between an NC20 and NC25 (using the MAC colour system because it's easily accessible and widely recognised) with a cooler yellow/olive undertone. Some of the foundations mentioned run a little too golden yellow as opposed to cooler yellow (yes, there is a difference!) but genuinely olive matches are hard to come.

Like many other we heartsters, I love Urban Decay. Their high-performance and cruelty-free products make them a brand that we adore. Urban Decay's Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation and Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer have a lot of fantastic features. They're both beautifully smooth in texture, versatile, buildable, long-lasting and lightweight.
I tried several methods of using the UD powder foundation and concealer. Urban Decay recommends preparing your skin with B6 Prep Spray and Pore Perfecting Primer, then applying the powder with a damp sponge to get more coverage, then applying the concealer and blending with a brush, using the optical blurring brush to apply a bit more powder on top, and lastly using UD All Nighter makeup setting spray.
When I tried this method (using similar sprays and primers), I found that I really had to make sure my skin was well moisturized. Because my skin is blotchy, I needed extra coverage (extra powder), using a generous amount of moisturizer on my face kept the powder from looking streaky or dry.
This powder foundation can also be applied dry with the included sponge. I found using the foundation with a fluffy powder brush on top of well moisturized skin produced a very subtle effect. It also worked nicely on top of liquid foundation (for those needing heavier coverage), and it looks natural but polished.
Additionally, the packaging on both of these is beautiful. I love Urban Decay's attention to detail when it comes to product packaging. The powder foundation comes inside a cute purple drawstring pouch that helps it stand out in a crowded bag.
Both products are sleek, compact, functional, and elegant looking. Although, you'll want to use that pouch as the foundation compact is very prone to fingerprints.
The Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation is available in 14 shades, and we got a look at 5 compacts:

If you only need lighter coverage, the powder foundation is ideal. While it can be layered, it works best and looks best when used with a lighter hand.
The Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is great for under eye circles or random blotchy spots, and is definitely a good product for a variety of skin concerns.

Applied with a standard doe applicator, this concealer is creamy, blendable and layerable as well. I personally have found myself reaching for it fairly often!

Skin tone: My face has neutral undertone while my neck and the rest of the body has light yellow. My face is also naturally one (1) shade lighter than my neck. I tend to pick the shade that has yellow/golden undertone that's closest to my skin tone, so it matches the rest of my body. But if the yellow/golden shade is too light/dark or unavailable, I would pick the closet neutral shade, which usually works as well.
I wear MAC Cosmetics' MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in shade NC15. It's my perfect shade when it's freshly swatched, but it turns slightly darker when it's dried.
